Measure strain and temperature using a strain gauge. Estimate the thermal stress state of the satellite from the strain data.
The temperature change of the satellite with respect to the on-orbit heat input calculated by orbit analysis is analyzed using the analysis software SOLIDWORKS.
Mast Extension

Use steel convex tape for the extension mast. When storing, the convex tape is wrapped around the rotating shaft of the inner wall and fixed with a tegus. By fusing the tegus, the shaft rotates and the mast extends.

Storage by prismatic multiple spiral fold.The figure below is prototyped paper shape when stored and when unfolded. By changing the storage shape from a cylinder to a prism, the side surface becomes flat and a rigid panel can be attached. In addition, since it is stored according to the shape of the core, gaps are less likely to occur and storage efficiency is improved.


Attach the solar cells so as not to interfere with the crease. The LED in the center of the membrane surface is lit with the power obtained from the solar cell. In the culcullation, the thickness of the solar cell is considered.
Connect the membrane edge and the mast, and expand the membrane as the mast extension. Attempting to assist the expantion using shape memory polymers (SMP).The figure on the right shows the SMP sheet glued to the crease of the polyimide film.

Observation of LED Light
- LED Observation
Turn on the LED with the power from the solar cell, and we see the light from the ground. By enhancing the convergence of LED light with a reflector, visibility on the ground is improved. The reflector and LED are stored in the central prism of the membrane surface.
